About the Author
Annie Brandt came to be the President Emeritus of Best Answer for Cancer Foundation (BAFC) and the International Organization of Integrative Cancer Physicians (IOICP) from the ground-up: as a survivor of advanced-stage metastatic breast cancer. After being diagnosed in July 2001 with breast cancer and metastases to the lymph, brain, and lungs, Ms. Brandt was told to "get your affairs in order" and was given three to five months to live. She decided to take a journey on the road less traveled and refused the standard of care: no surgery, no high-dose chemotherapy, or radiation. Instead, she created her own healing platform of holistic modalities that addressed the "dis-eases" in her body, mind, and spirit, and topped it off with targeted cancer therapies. In 2002, she found Insulin Potentiation Targeted Low Dose therapy (IPTLD or IPT), a simple and elegant targeted cancer therapy: a true Trojan Horse. Eight months later, after adding this targeted cancer therapy to her existing healing platform, her body was cancer-clear. Ms. Brandt believed other patients should have the option of experiencing thriving while surviving, so she founded Best Answer for Cancer Foundation (BAFC) in 2006. BAFC is a hybrid 501(c)3 nonprofit, comprised of a physicians group (the IOICP) and a general public/patient group. Ms. Brandt has planned and implemented the International Integrative Oncology conferences since 2006. She has created, organized, and brought to fruition the 2013 ACAM Pre-Conference Integrative Oncology Workshop. At that workshop, she presented the IOICP Definition of Integrative Oncology and Shifting the Cancer Paradigm. Prior to the health care industry, Ms. Brandt worked as a Market Research Specialist for Anheuser-Busch Industrial Products Division and as a Systems Engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), rising through the ranks to Corporate Information Networking Consultant for the Fortune 100. She became an entrepreneur in the field of Indoor air/water quality consulting, and has owned her own firm in that specialty since 1994. From 1997 to 2004, Ms. Brandt was also co-owner of a "green" design/build company, which was featured in Professional Builder Magazine and won the 2001 Environmental Awareness Award from the City of Austin, Texas for the innovative green complex known as The Villas at Mia Tia Circle. Ms. Brandt brings this same entrepreneurial, innovative, and pioneering spirit to the field of Integrative Oncology. She has motivated her physicians group, the IOICP, and Best Answer for Cancer Foundation itself, to shift the cancer paradigm from a disease-centered approach to a patient-centered approach, from a one-size-fits-all model to true individualized care for cancer and chronic disease. Ms. Brandt's book, The Healing Platform, helps cancer patients discover their own "best answer for cancer." She has co-authored two books: The Kinder, Gentler Cancer Treatment and Celebrating 365 Days of Gratitude. She is also featured in the book Cool Careers for Girls as Environmentalists.

Annie writes as though she was talking directly to you in person. It was great. Anyone who is faced with cancer should read this book. I loved the section on Cancer Personalities. It makes you think. Annie was meant to write this book, and she tells it like it is. I'm inspired by her courage, and taking her advice. I am looking forward and up as I build my own cure!!!!!
I found this book thanks to a video interview with Dr Mercola, I love the concept of being able to personalize diet and cures. There really is no one cure for all - and this book leads you to discover what works for you.
This book is amazing and so is Annie Brandt, although I've never met her. I think this is a book everyone should read because i guaranty you will find many ways to improve your health as a direct result. And if you have cancer or an immune disorder, this book will give you a huge head-start on your research. The author tells her story as a dynamic person climbing the corporate ladder quickly and boom, knocked down with this disease, then that... She then applies her focus on finding a cure using the same dynamism that caused her to be a 'hot shot' (my words). She gives the info on so many potential cures for you and me that it is mind-blowing. I just read this book for the 2nd time and realized that I underlined 40% of this book and made so many notes. Now I am able to follow-up on my notes. I am also sharing this book with others as I KNOW it will help anyone who reads it. Now I am planning to get to he conference in San Diego in April (not 100% yet, but trying). My final suggestion; don't buy 1 copy, buy at least 3 as I guaranty you will be giving them out to people you love.
Although I don't have cancer I am employing many tips from this book in a preventive way.
Awesome book. I have quite the library of cancer oriented literature and help-books. This is my favorite with most practical information that actually works for healing cancer naturally.
The Healing Platform is a very personal book by Annie Brandt and her dance with cancer. She is totally holistic snd very spiritual in her approach to healing her body without the usual path of surgery, chemo, and radiation. She goes to the root of the problem and reflects on practical ways to fully heal. There is a wealth of information in her book and blank pages to write reflections and solutions regarding your journey
It is a very good book with excellent information. I would recommend it to anyone. Worth the read.
