This book is about the Jewishness of Jesus, his (as well as his disciples) strict observance of the Torah, God's given covenants and some insights about Paul's letters to the Romans and Galatians. This is a very interesting topic in the current times when meeting a Torah observant follower of Jesus is very rare, in contrast with the first century. So a viewpoint of a Jew on Hebrew Scriptures and Apostolic Writings (NT) is very welcome. Book is well written and includes valuable information that most non-Jew Bible readers and even translators can't comprehend, such as the difference between Sabbath and Sabbaths, Feast of Weeks and Pentecost, Passover with all the Sabbaths in it, etc. Also, it was very interesting to read that all Jesus disciples (including Paul) have observed the Torah, after Jesus' ascension, including giving sacrifices in the Temple for years before the Temple destruction. It's worth reading the book just for these insights. What I don't like is that author sometimes jumps from Bible text to another text, then back on the first without any obvious relation between them. So don't expect full commentary on all Bible texts you meet in this book. Sometimes author just wants to prove that Jesus observed the Torah for example.God's covenants are well cited. Author gives a pattern how to recognize a covenant in the Bible and how added benefits to it, but what lacks is how those covenants apply to us.Finally, author gives some insights about Paul's letters to the Romans and Galatians. What really bothered me here is that author spent about 10 pages in details about when the letter to Galatians was written, which is a great research by itself, but how this reflects on the Paul's letter is not very clear.Messianic Judaism, mentioned in the book's title is covered on about a page, so it's only mentioned in transit. I think that author should expand this book especially the second half and publish a second improved edition.
I learned a lot of new information from this book regarding Jewish practices and customs and how that relates to New Testament Scriptures. I feel that I better understand a number of passages in the New Testament because of this book. However, my opinion is that this author (incorrectly) separates believers in God into two groups: 1) Jews (and Gentiles that convert to become Jews) that should keep the Law, and 2) Non-Jews that have a different set of rules. I highly recommend reading The New Testament Validates Torah by J.K. McKee.
